What do you think makes Deerfield special? The fact that Deerfield is such a small, close-knit community really makes it special. Teachers, parents, administration, and even students are more than willing to help each other out and support one another.
Hobbies and interests outside of education: Reading, traveling, swimming, hiking, drawing, movies, music, and family/friends are all things that I enjoy and keep me occupied during my free time.
What did you want to be when you grew up? I dabbled with a few ideas like cartoonist, veterinarian, and architect, but ultimately, I decided on teacher by the time I was in high school
What teams or clubs did you belong to in high school/college? Volleyball, Softball, NHS, Art Club, Tutoring
What’s on your bucket list? I want to visit all 7 continents--so far I’ve got 4 down.
Is there a teaching tool you couldn’t live without? I love Pinterest. I always find so many creative ideas to include within my lessons to really bring them to life.
What are your goals for yourself/classroom this year?  My number one goal this year is to get my students writing. I want them to explore the different types of writing and integrate various skills and strategies to foster quality in their writing.
